What is “Managed IT Services”?




Managed IT Services is essentially the outsourcing of all of a company’s internal IT management to a Managed Services Provider (MSP), such as Harmony Tech. We essentially become a “department” of your company and handle everything from desktop support to mobile device management, to technology planning and budgeting for you. This allows you to focus on your business, instead of being distracted by the tools you use to run your business.

What is a "Managed Services Provider (MSP)"?




A Managed Service Provider (MSP) is a third-party company that manages and assumes the responsibility of a defined set of IT and technology management services to its clients. The reality is, very few businesses – and virtually no small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) – have the resources and expertise to create a world-class IT department. That’s why managed service providers exist. An MSP provides expertise, tools, and processes that most SMBs can’t match on their own. As an MSP, Harmony Tech can act as the client’s IT Department or can simply augment the IT staff that is already in place.

We currently have another company / person taking care of our IT needs. I’m concerned about how my business will be impacted if I switch to Harmony Tech, how does the transition work?




The transition is usually quite easy and can be accomplished in a matter of hours. There are just a few pieces of information we need to take over your network. We have found that most documentation provided by other firms is either outdated or incorrect, so one of the first things we do is to completely document your network. This way you’ll know exactly what existing issues you have and we can work to correct them.

My practice is required to be HIPAA compliant, can we use Managed IT Services?




Absolutely, however your provider must also be completely HIPAA compliant and sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with you. Harmony Tech is completely HIPAA compliant and will sign a BAA with you. For more information, see our Managed HIPAA IT Compliance page for details.

Does Harmony Tech sell hardware or software?




No, we believe that doing so would be a conflict of interest.  We will do research and provide recommendations, and if desired procure hardware and software for you.  We do what’s best for our clients, not our bottom line.  We believe that when you are successful, we are successful.

How long are your contract terms?




Harmony Tech offers 1, 2 and 3-year terms. However, all of our contracts allow you to cancel at any time with 30 days written notice.
